Day 1 – Marrakech – Aït Boulli valley – Rougoult (1900 m)

Transfer in 4×4 for the Central High Atlas via Demnate: magnificent panoramas on the mountain and its valleys. Meeting with our team of muleteers in Aït Boulli and lunch. Start the hike up the valley. Villages of red earth, numerous walnut trees, passage to Tazegzaout, then the village of Rougoult. Camp near the village.

Walking time: 3 h / M: 400 m.

Day 2 – Rougoult – Assif n’Waqua – tizi n’Rougoult (2900 m) – Idoughmamem

Hiking between gorges and sheepfolds along the Assif n’Ait Ahmed in the direction of tizi n’Rougoult. Lunch at the foot of the pass. The descent offers a magnificent view of the Tessaout valley. Camp at Idoughmamen, among the junipers.

Walking time: 7 h / M: 900 m – D: 400 m.

Day 3 – Idoughmamem – plateau of the Tarkedit (2900 m)

The beautiful path of Assdremt allows to reach the high plateaus at the foot of M’Goun. Along the way, discover numerous abysses and caves occupied during the summer by the nomads. The Aït Atta come numerous from the Sarhro on the plateau of the Tarkedit from May to September for summer summer, with their flocks of sheep and dromedaries to carry the luggage. Installation of the camp near the sources of the Tessaout (2900 m), on beautiful lawns shawn dominated by the crests of M’Goun. A pastoral and grandiose setting.
Walking time: 5 to 6 hours / M: 900 m – D: 300 m.

Day 4 – Tarkedit plateau (2900 m) – M’Goun crossing (4068 m) – Izabine sheepfolds (2600 m)

Depart early in the morning to reach the long ridge line of the Ighil M’Goun, which we will follow to the top, at 4,068 meters. This mountain of limestones rich in shells contains many fossils on the crest. Exceptional view of the whole of the Central High Atlas and, to the south, on the Dades valley, the Sarhro, the Draa hamada. Redescent on the pass of Oumsoud, to join the bivouac near the sheepfolds of Izabine (2600 m). A western and magical setting.

Walking time: 7 to 8 h / M: 1180 m – D: 1470 m.

NB: for those who do not wish to climb, it is possible to follow the muleteers, who go directly to the camp.

Day 5 – Sheepfold of Izabine – tizi n’Aït Boualli (2900 m) – Arrous – Agouti (valley of Bougmez)

A stage through magnificent landscapes of red mountains, before crossing the natural barrier of tizi Aït Boualli, at 2,900 meters above sea level. From the pass, panoramic view of the Bougmez valley and the sheepfolds of Ikis. Descent through the gorges, before reaching the troglodyte houses then the beautiful village of altitude of Arouss with its houses adobe. Finally, we arrived at the happy valley of Bougmez.
Night in a cottage.

Walking time: 6 to 7 h / M: 500 m – D: 1200 m.

Day 6 – Agouti – Azilal – Marrakech

Last breakfast “Berber” at the lodging. Then drive back to Marrakech. Lunch on the road. Arrival in Marrakech in the first part of the afternoon and installation in hotel. There is still time to enjoy the exciting city, from the souks to the mosques and palaces, to the lively Djemaa el-Fna square.
